an arborist with climbing and safety gear uses a rope to climb a hemlock tree

I recently pruned this hemlock tree to remove dead limbs from above this bench and a nearby walking trail.

About Me

I have worked as a tree care professional for more than 25 years. My interest in working with trees began at an early age. As a teenager, I worked at a Christmas tree farm, helping tend to trees during the holiday season.

I attended Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondacks of New York where I received an Associates degree in Forest Technology. My work experience includes cutting and pruning trees and shrubs on transmission and distribution powerline rights-of-way, coordinating tree maintenance as a municipal arborist, and using integrated vegetation management (herbicide and mechanical controls) along powerlines and on residential properties.

I became a certified arborist in 1997 through the New Hampshire Arborists Association (#329) and more recently through the International Society of Arboriculture (#NE-7414A).
